Rainy Weather Delays Bridge Deck and Ramp Improvements on Routes 30 and 47 at I-44

FRANKLIN COUNTY - Due to recent rainy weather, MODOT contractors have delayed the completion of asphalt work at the Route 30 and Interstate 44 interchange in St. Clair, MO.  Route 30 interchange ramps are being prepared to accommodate increased traffic from the upcoming closure of Route 47 for bridge and ramp upgrades.

As a result, the traffic switch and bridge demolition date for work at Route 47, previously scheduled to begin Wednesday, April 6, is also being delayed.  Ramp closures at Route 47 are now scheduled to begin the week of April 12, weather permitting.  Bridge demolition is now scheduled for 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday thru Sunday, April 15-17. During this time, Route 47 will be closed. Through traffic on Route 47 will be detoured to Route 30.  I-44 traffic will be detoured up and over the ramps from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. each night.
