Bridge Work Complete on U.S. Route 54 in Audrain County

HANINBAL – Motorists are now driving on a new bridge deck on U.S. 54 at West Fork Cuivre River, located one mile east of Audrain County Route B.  The work was completed one half of the bridge at a time by Emery Sapp & Son, of Columbia, Missouri, who was awarded the project in the amount of $736,988.  New guard rail was also added to improve safety.

CRD 725 also reopened.  “The temporary signals are being removed and there is still some cleanup work to manage,” explained Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Brian Untiedt.  “We appreciate the patience of motorists who had to drive through it each day,” he noted.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
