MoDOT Plans for Route H Bridge Replacements in New Madrid County

SIKESTON—The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace two bridges on Route H at Matthews, Missouri. The bridges are located over Ash Slough Ditch and a drainage ditch.  

The project will be let in November 2021, with construction beginning as early as January 2022. One bridge will be constructed at a time, and contractors will complete the replacement in one location before proceeding to the next.

As work is underway, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of each bridge. A signed detour will be in place.

Completion is anticipated by December 2022.
