TRAFFIC ALERT: Traffic Slowdowns/Stops on I-49 Near Pineville Sept. 20-22 to Install Overhead Signs

What: I-49 traffic slowed and possibly stopped between McDonald County Routes EE & Brush Creek Road near Pineville where contractor crews are installing overhead signs across all lanes of I-49

When: 8:30 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday-Wednesday, September 20-22

Traffic Impacts:

  • Law enforcement officers slowing and stopping north- and southbound I-49 traffic
  • Route EE and Route H traffic attempting to enter southbound I-49 will be stopped for up to 15 minutes while contractor crews install overhead signs
  • Traffic attempting to enter northbound I-49 from Business 71 and Brush Creek Road will be stopped for up to 15 minutes while crews install overhead signs

Details: Contractor crews will install overhead signs across I-49 near Pineville. This is part of the larger I-49 Missouri/Arkansas Connector project to complete the final five miles of I-49 between Pineville and the Missouri/Arkansas state line.
