Re-Evaluation of Environmental Study Underway for Improvements to the Kingdom City Interchange

JEFFERSON CITY – As part of the planning stages for improvements to the Interstate 70/U.S. Route 54 interchange at Kingdom City, the Missouri Department of Transportation is accepting public comments as part of a re-evaluation of an environmental assessment completed in 2005. Individuals or organizations wishing to comment can do so by visiting or calling 1-888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636). Comments must be submitted on or before Monday, October 11, 2021.

This process is part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of the 2005 Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Second Tier Final Environmental Assessment (EA) of Section of Independent Utility 6 for improvements to the Interstate 70/U.S. Route 54 interchange.

MoDOT expects the re-evaluation to be completed in May 2022.
