Bridge over Kings Lake in Lincoln County Nears Completion

HANNIBAL – Travelers in Lincoln County will soon be able to enjoy another new bridge.  Weather permitting, the bridge over King’s Lake, approximately two miles east of Missouri Route 79 near Elsberry, is scheduled to open August 10.

The bridge has been closed since late April while work on the replacement project was completed.  This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Also included in this contract was another bridge replacement located on Route CC over Bryant’s Creek, approximately 3.6 miles west of Missouri Route 79 near Elsberry, which opened July 16. The contract for these projects was awarded earlier this year to Bleigh Construction Company of Hannibal, Missouri for $1,598,053.
