Proposed Removal of Interchange on I-44 at MO 66 Focus of Virtual Public Meeting June 28-July 12

Jasper County – The public is invited to a virtual (online) public meeting starting Monday, June 28, to learn more about a proposal for removing the interchange on I-44 at Missouri 66/Business Loop 44 Interchange (Exit 15) in Jasper County, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The meeting will be available for two weeks beginning Monday, June 28, until Monday, July 12, and can be accessed at https://www.modot.org/i-44-corridor-bridge-bundle-design-build-project.

The public is invited to make comments and/or ask questions about a proposal to remove the interchange located east of Joplin.

Those unable to access the online meeting are encouraged to contact MoDOT’s Southwest District Office at (417) 895-7600 and accommodations will be made to share the information and gather feedback.

The proposed removal of the interchange would likely happen between the spring of 2022 and fall of 2024.
