BOONE COUNTY – Contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will begin making improvements to provide a smoother driving surface for motorists on a pair of Boone County roadways.
Crews will resurface Route M between U.S. Route 63 and Route DD, beginning Monday, June 21. Upon completion of that work, contractors will then begin making surface improvements to the intersection of Route 124 and Route B in Hallsville. That phase of the project is tentatively scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 23.
For the safety of motorists and crews on the road, one lane will be closed while work takes place. Vehicles will be guided through the work zones by flaggers and a pilot car from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Drivers are encouraged to slow down in work zones, obey all traffic signs and give crews on the road plenty of room. Some delays are possible and MoDOT appreciates the patience of travelers while the work take place.
This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
