MoDOT Releases Details Regarding 2022 Deer Creek Bridge Improvement Project

Public Invited to Comment Online thru June 25

OSAGE COUNTY - Information is now available regarding the deck replacement on the Route 100 bridge over Deer Creek in Osage County, located west of Chamois. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is inviting nearby residents and travelers to share their thoughts.

The existing bridge was built in 1965 and has reached the point where deck replacement is necessary in order to extend the life and usability of the bridge.

Route 100 will be closed to traffic at the bridge during construction for up to two months. Motorists will need to use alternate routes. MoDOT says road closure information will be announced through signs, media releases and social media when a timeline for the project has been established.

The work is expected to begin and be completed in 2022.

Motorists and area residents can ask questions or provide feedback on this project using the digital comment form at modot.org/DeerCreekBridgeRedeck. The online public comment period is open through June 25.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
