Crawford County Bridge Replacement to Begin Next Week

CRAWFORD COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation is advising local residents that a Crawford County road will be closed for the next several months for a bridge replacement project.

The Route C bridge over the Little Bourbeuse River, located west of Bourbon, has reached the point where replacement is necessary.

Starting Tuesday, June 1, crews will begin removing the existing bridge to replace it with a new structure. Route C will be closed to traffic at the bridge for up to three months during construction. The work is expected to be completed by the end of August.

Motorists will need to use Route 19 between Cuba and Route C and Interstate 44 between Cuba and Bourbon as a detour route during construction.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
