St. Joseph, Mo. – The bridge on Gentry County U.S. Route 169 over Middle Fork of the Grand River, near Gentry, will soon receive a new deck. Contractors from Emery Sapp & Sons Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin the bridge deck replacement project on Wednesday, May 19. This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
The road will close to all traffic on May 19, and is scheduled to remain closed through early August. During the closure, motorists will be directed along a signed detour using Routes W and YY.
