Crews will CLOSE 67th St. over I-435 beginning April 23 for bridge replacement

JACKSON COUNTY – MoDOT Kansas City will be replacing the 67th St. bridge over Interstate 435. Crews will close the bridge in the early morning hours on Friday, April 23 until approximately Dec. 2021. There will be no signed detour for 67th St. and traffic will need to find alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.

This bridge replacement will require the TOTAL CLOSURE of I-435 between MO Route 350 and U.S. 71 currently set to begin on Friday evening, April 23, until Monday morning, April 26, weather permitting. I-435 traffic will be rerouted around the closure using I-70 and I-470. More details to follow.

The existing bridge was built in 1965 and rehabilitated in 2007. The structure is nearing the end of its service life necessitating the need for replacement.
