MoDOT Releases Details Regarding 2022 I-70 Chouteau Creek Bridge Rehabilitations Project

Public Invited to Comment Online thru April 14

COOPER COUNTY - Information is now available regarding the rehabilitations of the Interstate 70 bridges over Chouteau Creek, located west of Boonville. The Missouri Department of Transportation is inviting nearby residents and travelers to share their thoughts.

The 20-year-old bridges have reached the point where rehabilitation is necessary to extend the life and usability of the bridges. This project, in combination with continued routine maintenance, will add an estimated 50 years of use for travelers.

Both directions of I-70 will have intermittent lane closures during the construction of both bridges. MoDOT says specific lane closure information will be announced through signs, media releases and social media when a timeline for the project has been established.

The work is expected to begin and be completed in 2022.

Motorists and area residents can ask questions or provide feedback on this project using the digital comment form at modot.org/ChouteauCreekBridgeRehabs. The online public comment period is open through April 14.
