Bridge work scheduled for Route 291 over Middle Big Creek beginning in April

CASS COUNTY – MoDOT Kansas City will be replacing the bridge deck on the MO Route 291 bridge over Middle Big Creek beginning on approximately Thursday, April 8. During construction, MO Route 291 will be closed between MO 150 and MO 58. Construction is anticipated to be complete by approximately mid-June 2021. This work will include both pavement and guardrail replacements in the area. The north side of the closure along MO Route 291 will still have local access to Lake Winnebago Drive and the south side of the closure will be just north of local businesses so as not to disturb their operations. This project has been let in combination with the bridge replacement project of the MO Route 58 bridge over Big Creek. Work on that bridge is anticipated to begin in approximately August 2021. All work is weather permitting.
