MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Jackson Street (Missouri Route 14) Traffic Shift East of U.S. Route 65

in Ozark Beginning Thursday, November 12

What: Jackson Street (Missouri Route 14) eastbound traffic will be shifted to the center turn lane east of U.S. Route 65 between 16th Street and Christian County Route NN in Ozark

When: 7 a.m. Thursday, November 12, until March 2021

Details: Contractor crews begin to widen Route 14 as part of the Jackson Street (Missouri Route 14) Widening Project

Traffic Impacts:

  • Jackson Street (Route 14) eastbound traffic will be shifted to the center turn lane between 16th Street and Route NN in Ozark
  • Left turn lanes open at signal intersections on Jackson Street (Route 14) at 12th Street and Route NN
  • Crews and equipment close to traffic
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes
  • Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Project Summary:

  • Widen Route 14 to five lanes between 32nd Street west of U.S. Route 65 and the Finley River bridge (two through lanes and a center turn lane)
  • Widen the intersection of Route 14 and Route NN (City of Ozark is sharing in the cost of this part of the project.)
  • Improve sidewalks and traffic signals in various locations

  • Completion Date: Late July 2021.
  • Prime Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Columbia
  • Estimated Project Cost: $9.3 million
