Local Programs Peer Exchange National Webinar - Interactive Tools for More Effective LPA Project Delivery

The AASHTO Local Programs Peer Exchange has partnered with FHWA to present information on interactive tools, resources, and collaborative efforts to assist local pubic agencies optimize project delivery! First, you will receive a virtual guided tour of the mobile asphalt lab. Next, you will receive an overview of project bundling the tools under development now including the Project Bundling Self-Assessment Tool. Then, the San Francisco Bay Area's Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the City of Oakwood, GA will describe the tools they use to identify opportunities to bundle projects at the Capital Improvements Plan development stage, including pavement preservation software!

1) Leslie McCarthy, Senior Asphalt Engineer, FHWA HQ Office of Preconstruction, Construction and Materials- Introducing the FHWA Mobile Asphalt Technology Center: A Resource for States and their Partners



2) R. David Unkefer, P.E., Senior Engineer FHWA Construction and Project Management Team, Advanced Project Bundling: Best Practices and Implementation Tools for LPA Preventive Maintenance Projects



3) Sui Tan, StreetSaver Program Manager Metropolitan Transportation Commission- Pavement preservation and CIP development, bundling for regional project delivery



4) Jason Spencer, Public Works Director City of Oakwood, GA- CIP development and project bundling



The Local Programs Peer Exchange is a peer group sponsored by AASHTO that highlights and presents on topics of importance in locally delivered transportation programs funded at the state or federal levels. Presentations are generally related to state and federal programs providing assistance to Local Public Agencies (LPAs).
