Missouri Route 39 Bridge over Stockton Lake Near Greenfield

Focus of Virtual (Online) Public Meeting Sept. 21-28

Dade County – The public is invited to a virtual (online) public meeting starting Monday, Sept. 21, to learn more about plans for replacing the bridge deck (driving surface) on the Missouri Route 39 bridge over Stockton Lake north of Greenfield in 2021, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The meeting will be available for one week from Monday, Sept. 21, until Monday, Sept. 28, and can be accessed at https://www.modot.org/missouri-route-39-bridge-rehabilitation.

During 2021, the bridge deck (driving surface) will be replaced requiring Route 39 to be CLOSED for up to three months. During the bridge closing, a signed detour will be in place using Route 39, U.S. Route 160 and Dade County routes H & Y.

Those unable to access the online meeting are encouraged to contact MoDOT’s Southwest District Office at 417.895.7600 and accommodations will be made to share the information and gather feedback.

The Missouri Route 39 bridge project’s estimated total cost is $997,000.

Construction of the new bridge will take place sometime in 2021.
