West of U.S. Route 65 in Ozark August 28-31
What: Missouri Route 14 scheduled to CLOSE between 25th Street and Fremont Road west of U.S. Route 65 in Ozark
When: 9 p.m. Friday, August 28, until 6 a.m. Monday, August 31
Why: Contractor crews installing large box culvert across Route 14 near Fremont Road and replacing pavement at 25th Street
Traffic Impacts:
- Missouri Route 14 CLOSED between 25th Street and Fremont Road west of Route 65
- Business entrances and streets will remain open on either side of the closure
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work scheduled
(Weather or construction delays could alter the work schedule.)
Project Summary:
- Widen Route 14 to five lanes between 32nd Street west of U.S. Route 65 and the Finley River bridge (two through lanes and a center turn lane)
- Widen the intersection of Route 14 and Route NN (City of Ozark is sharing in the cost of this part of the project.)
- Improve sidewalks and traffic signals in various locations
- Completion Date: Late July 2021
- Prime Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Columbia
- Estimated Total Project Cost: $9.3 million
