Osage County Route D Bridge Replacement to Begin Next Week

OSAGE/GASCONADE COUNTY – Following the replacement of the Gasconade County Route A bridge over Third Creek, a contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin the replacement of the Osage County Route D bridge over Mistaken Creek next week as part of a bridge replacement project.

The Mistaken Creek bridge, west of Cooper Hill, is expected to undergo replacement on Tuesday, August 18. Route D at the bridge will be closed to traffic for up to three months while the work takes place.

Motorists will be able to use Gasconade County Route A, Route 28 and Route 89 in order to access Route D while the bridge replacement takes place.

Both of the 65-year-old bridges are included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
