TRAFFIC ALERT: Traffic Slowdowns/Stops on I-49 at Pineville Between June 15 & July 3

What: I-49 traffic slowed and possibly stopped between McDonald County Route EE and Brush Creek Road at Pineville

When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 15-July 3. No traffic impacts expected at night.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Law enforcement officers slowing and stopping traffic in both directions on I-49 slowed or stopped up to 15 minutes while contractor crews blast rock
  • Traffic attempting to enter southbound I-49 from McDonald County Route H will be stopped for up to 15 minutes while crews are blasting
  • Traffic attempting to enter northbound I-49 from Business 71 (Wolf Den Road) at Pineville will be stopped for up to 15 minutes while crews are blasting

Details: Contractor crews blasting rock on I-49 near Goodin Hollow Road at Pineville. This is part of the larger I-49 Missouri/Arkansas Connector project to complete the final five miles of I-49 between Pineville and the Missouri/Arkansas state line.
