Correction: Worth County Route YY bridge now open

GRANT CITY, Mo. – The bridge on Route YY over the Middle Fork of the Grand River, just east of Worth, is now open. The bridge closed to all traffic in September 2018 after a regularly scheduled inspection by the Missouri Department of Transportation revealed critical deterioration to the structure. Contractors from Boone Construction Company began the bridge replacement project in late November 2019 and reopened the roadway to traffic this afternoon.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
