Andrew County Route 48 bridge replacement to begin over Agee Creek

SAVANNAH, Mo. – The bridge on Route 48 over Agee Creek, east of Rea, will be replaced soon. Contractors from Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin the replacement of the 88-year-old, structurally deficient bridge on Tuesday, May 26. This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

The road will close to all traffic on May 26 and is scheduled to remain closed through the mid-August. During the closure, drivers should utilize Route M, U.S. Route 169, Route E and Route D to travel around the closure.

Drivers are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades.

All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all roadways are No Phone zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
