Howard County Bridge Deck Replacement Approved by Commission

JEFFERSON CITY - At its regular monthly meeting this week, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission approved a contract to replace the deck of the Howard County Route EE bridge over Prairie Creek.

The contract was awarded to Widel, Inc., which submitted the low bid of $452,753.

The current bridge is included in Governor Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Route EE will be closed to traffic while work takes place. A start date for work on the bridge has not yet been established. MoDOT will alert the public with updates through signs, news releases and social media.
