MoDOT: U.S. Route 60/Missouri Route 125 Interchange Options

Focus of April 22-May 6 Virtual Public Meeting

Rogersville, Greene County – After working with the Rogersville community, the Missouri Department of Transportation has developed a third concept for building a new interchange at the U.S. Route 60/Missouri Route 125 near Rogersville. To gather feedback, MoDOT is holding a virtual (online) public meeting between today (Wednesday, April 22) and Wednesday, May 6.

The meeting can be accessed here: Route 60 at Route 125 Interchange

Those who attend the virtual meeting will be asked to give feedback between Concept #3 which would locate the new interchange at the existing intersection and a previous proposal (Concept #2) which would locate the new interchange slightly east of the existing intersection. Concept #2 has been modified since an August 2019 public meeting and includes a reduction in the number and length of outer roads.

Here are the items that will be available at the virtual public meeting:

  • A five minute video presentation detailing the two concepts and the advantages/disadvantages of each
  • Maps of the two proposed interchange concepts
  • A project fact sheet
  • A project comparison sheet
  • Online comment form

Those unable to access the online meeting are encouraged to contact MoDOT’s Southwest District at 417.895.7600 and accommodations will be made to share the information and gather feedback.

MoDOT has continued to work with the community to develop an acceptable plan for the much-needed safety improvement that stays within the overall $22 million budget for the project.

MoDOT will make a decision on the best concept to pursue by early summer and will begin the necessary work to design the project. When a decision is made on the best concept, the community will be informed and the decision will be announced on the project website

The original concept (Concept #1) which would have placed the new interchange at the intersection of Route 60/Route 125 became too costly to pursue and has been eliminated from consideration.

Construction of the new interchange will take place in 2022-2023.
