Design-Build Teams Selected To Compete for Interstate 70 Climbing Lanes at Mineola Hill

HANNIBAL - The Missouri Department of Transportation has completed evaluation of the Statement of Qualifications submitted by potential design-build teams for the construction of climbing lanes on both east and west bound Interstate 70 near Mineola Hill and has short-listed three teams.

“We had great interest in this project, and we have narrowed the list down to the three teams below who will proceed to compete for the contract to oversee the design and construction of this highway improvement project,” said MoDOT Project Director Brandi Baldwin.  The following teams were selected to further develop their proposals on the project:

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. and Bartlett & West

Radmacher Brother Excavating and Wilson & Company

KCI Construction and Jacobs Engineering

MoDOT’s design-build team will release the Request for Proposals on January 6th, 2020.  “This means these teams will receive our formal request to submit their proposals to design and construct the new climbing lanes,” Baldwin explained.  “We will continue with the second phase of the design-build project after the new year, with plans to award the project at the April 1, 2020 Commission meeting in Jefferson City.

“Thank you to everyone who expressed interest and put in the time and effort to deliver a SOQ for consideration,” Baldwin noted.  All information about the new project, including a timeline, is available on MoDOT’s website at https://www.modot.org/mineola-hill-climbing-lanes-design-build.   Those interested in receiving email updates about I-70 in Montgomery County can sign up here.
