NOW OPEN: U.S. Route 71 between Iowa border and U.S. Route 136

After closing due to a stalled vehicle

BURLINGTON JUNCTION, Mo. – U.S. Route 71 north of U.S. Route 136 is open to motorists once again. The road closed at 11 a.m. this morning due to a stalled truck. A towing company was able to clear the stalled truck, however the cargo it was hauling will remain on the side of the road until a crane can be brought in to move it.
