The Missouri Department of Transportation’s Central District has an exciting project that will provide over 30 pedestrian facilities in 19 cities across our district to be brought into compliance within the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We will be hosting a virtual industry meeting on August 22 at 2 p.m. to receive input on how to deliver this project.
The design and construction contract for this project would be awarded by spring 2020. Most of the work will be done within existing MoDOT Right of Way, although it will be necessary to acquire temporary construction easements. The current design and construction budget is approximately $9.8 million.
