Route 45 Project Part of a Busy 2017 Construction Season, Will Impact Local Traffic

PLATTE COUNTY – As we head into peak road construction season, the Missouri Department of Transportation reminds Parkville and surrounding motorists that all eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 45 between Brightwell Rd. and Timber Ridge Dr. are CLOSED as part of the Route 45 Widening project. This will be a 24/7 closure. Motorists will use the signed detour to route around the closed road. All work is weather dependent.

The Route 45 widening project will continue through November 2017. Route 45 will remain partially or fully closed for the duration of the project. Check out www.modot.org/kansascity to learn more about this project.

For information about other work zones that will impact travelers this season, follow us on Twitter, sign up for project updates or review a list of projects by county on our website.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
