MoDOT Crews Begin Work on Roundabout at Route 24 and Route 131

WELLINGTON, Mo. – Missouri Department of Transportation crews will CLOSE Route 131 south of Route 24 from June 19 through July 6  to construct an alternate bypass for local traffic access during upcoming roundabout construction.  Beginning July 6, Route 131 north of Route 24 will be closed to traffic. Traffic south of Route 24 will access the bypass until construction is complete.  All work is scheduled to be complete by Sept. 4, weather dependent.

The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
