Public Meeting Set to Discuss Route A Bridge Deck Replacement

The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 20 to provide information on a proposed project to replace the deck on the Route A bridge over Tavern Creek in Miller County.

The project, which will take place eight miles east of Route 17, is scheduled to be awarded in Spring 2018 and the work will begin Summer 2018. The road will be closed for approximately two months. Detours will be set up using Routes 17 and 52.

The public meeting will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of St. Elizabeth R-IV, located at 240 Church St. in St. Elizabeth. The meeting facility is accessible to people with disabilities.

The public may attend the meeting at any time between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to speak with MoDOT staff and provide input. No formal presentation will be made.
