LEE'S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting striping work along both directions of Interstate 470 between Pryor Road and Raytown Road beginning at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, April 13. This is a moving operation and will slow traffic speeds down considerably. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route if necessary. Above all, be patient and considerate to your fellow motorists. This work is part of the extensive I-470 bridges project to repair 15 bridges along that corridor. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
