MoDOT CLOSES One Lane of WB I-470 Within Bridge Project for Emergency Pavement Repair

JACKSON COUNTY– Some potholes are just too big to leave until later. Such is the case this afternoon, as the Missouri Department of Transportation has CLOSED one lane along westbound I-470 near Blue Ridge for emergency pavement repairs. This reduces traffic to ONE lane through this already tight construction area! This lane reduction could have major impacts to traffic heading into rush hour.

Crews are hoping to re-open to two through lanes in time for rush hour with further plans to implement a more long-term repair during the overnight hours. Review KC Scout cameras along this area to review potential traffic impacts here: www.kcscout.net.

Please be patient and considerate to your fellow motorists. Use the zipper merge and take turns at the merge point.  This work is part of the extensive I-470 bridges project to repair 15 bridges along the interstate. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. All work is weather permitting.
