HOLDEN – The Missouri Department of Transportation is hosting an open-house public meeting on Tuesday July 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Holden City Hall to share information on a 2019 project to update sidewalks and pavement along the city center. Local residents are invited to attend. Representatives from both MoDOT and the city of Holden will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. The meeting is open house style so no formal presentation is scheduled.
The project will consist of roadway resurfacing, new curbing, drainage and sidewalk improvements. Improvements will improve public access to local businesses. Ramps with landings will be provided. Construction is scheduled to begin the spring/summer of 2019 and be completed by late fall 2020.
This work is similar to a project completed in Grain Valley in 2015. Check out the MoDOT’s website for further details.
The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
