UPDATE: Sullivan County Newtown Branch Bridge Replacement

MILAN, Mo. – Contractors from Widel, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed the Route 139 Newtown Branch Bridge for a replacement project in January. Consistent winter precipitation and freezing temperatures have delayed the planned reopening of the bridge until early April.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.

Keep up with the project by visiting the project webpage at: https://www.modot.org/route-139-newtown-branch-bridge
