This project will have significant impacts on traffic for two full construction seasons. It will replace the bridges within the interchange and the new configuration will be a partial turbine design. This provides the opportunity to make additional safety improvements that include the new bridges, removal of left exits, improvements to the loop ramp configuration, and congestion relief. For more information about this project, visit our website. All work is weather permitting.
Traffic MUST follow the signed detours or find an alternate route. Additionally, motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and leave early. For potential impacts to traffic, please review KC Scout cameras at http://www.kcscout.net or consult our real-time traffic partner, WAZE.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
