Intersection Improvements
Completed

Updated 10/23/2023

Intersection improvements are underway following a study of the crash history from 2015-2019 at the intersections of Grundy County Route 6/Route 146/Route W and Route 6/NW 30th Avenue showed that turn lanes may have prevented more than 50 percent of the crashes at Route 146/W and more than 83 percent of the crashes at NW 30th Avenue.

These geometric changes include widening Route 6 at both intersections and constructing dedicated left and right turn lanes in both directions to improve turning and reduce conflict points for the traveling public.
