A slide developed on Holt County Route T near Mill Bluff Road, just south of Forest City, during the flooding that began in Northwest Missouri in March 2019. The roadway was closed in mid-March, as it was no longer safe for motorists. After conducting a geological study, it was determined that the slide would require extensive work to make the roadway safe again for the traveling public. Plans based on the geological study's findings will shift the roadway slightly.
A repair project was part of the March 2020 letting (when contractors can submit competitive bids on the construction work). Crews are actively working to shift the roadway.
The contractor plans to have the roadway reopened to all traffic by the end of September 2020.
