There were two value engineering studies completed on this project; one in 1998 and the other in 2007. The 2007 VE study was made public in August 2007, and local residents and media expressed interest and concern in determining the exact location of the project due to increased development along the study corridor. Because the location study was initiated nearly 15 years prior to 2007, MoDOT agreed the area needed to be resurveyed and reevaluated. Since this project is not funded, the area will not be resurveyed until funding is identified.
