Project Completed September 2023

The Gentry County Route E bridge over Walnut Fork was built in 1934 and rehabilitated in 1994. The 122-foot long bridge, located southeast of Stanberry, carries approximately 400 cars per day. It is now in poor condition and has a speed reduction for vehicles over 17 tons. MoDOT and consultant firm HDR have designed a new bridge to replace the current structure in fiscal year 2023.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is the current proposed detour?

A: A signed detour is not planned at this time. The roadway will be closed at the bridge for the duration of the project and motorists will need to use an alternate route.
