Grant Funding Application - Central Region (FY 2027)

The Central Coalition for Roadway Safety is one of seven regions of the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety. The Coalition is comprised of a diverse group of individuals and agencies located throughout central Missouri, dedicated to saving lives and reducing serious injuries from traffic crashes. 

Community Outreach Grant funding is available to agencies, businesses, and organizations that need resources to further promote roadway safety.  (Engineering solutions will not be considered for this grant opportunity.)

Community Outreach funding will be actively pursued from Aug. 17 through the end of September 2026. Requests submitted outside of this timeframe may still be considered on a case-by-case basis. Grant requests must address at least one of the Safe System Elements identified in the Show-Me Zero strategic highway safety plan: Safer People, Safer Vehicles, Safer Speeds, Safer Infrastructure, Safer Response. To be eligible for this grant, your organization must be based in one of the 18 counties covered in the Central Region: Boone, Callaway, Camden, Cole, Cooper, Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Howard, Laclede, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, Osage, Phelps, Pulaski, and Washington.

Please Note:

  • Project Graduation and alternative prom events can receive up to $200 in grant funds and $100 in give-away incentives.
  • School docudramas that demonstrate the effects of distracted driving, impaired driving and riding unbelted can request up to $700.
  • Law enforcement receiving Coalition funds must participate and submit Dept. of Revenue Alcohol Influence Report and participate in the Missouri State Highway Patrol repository for DWI tracking system.
