Active interstate carriers must renew International Registration Plan license plates annually.
Gather the following documents to upload with your renewal application in MoDOT Carrier Express:
- Personal property tax receipts - must list all individual power units
- An IRS Form 2290 - Heavy Vehicle Use Tax receipt
Have on hand travel records to report mileage and be certain to update your registration with the FMCSA at least once every two years - FMCSA website
IRP registrations will not be completed until International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) are up-to-date.
