Local agencies receive federal funds to improve infrastructure and must provide a 20% local match. To keep federal funds flowing to Missouri, all funds received each year must be fully committed to projects.
Local Entity Cash Leveraged for Cost-Share Program - 1e
The Cost Share Program partners with local entities to combine resources for state highway and bridge projects. When local partners participate, MoDOT matches their investment up to 50% of the project cost.
Governor's Cost-Share Program -1f
This program, launched by the Governor’s Administration, aims to build strong partnerships with local communities by pooling efforts and resources to deliver critical road and bridge projects. In total, the program will complete 19 projects across the state.
Legislatively Designated Projects - 1g
The Missouri General Assembly has met numerous transportation needs across the state—most notably through investments in Interstate 70 and various segments of Interstate 44. In Missouri’s fiscal year 2025 budget, signed into law by the governor, General Revenue funds have been allocated for the planning, design, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and repair of designated I‑44 segments from Tiers 2 and 3 on the High Priority Unfunded Needs list.

This measure monitors the quantities of planned work activities, compares them against estimates, and reports both overall and location-specific progress.
