Flood Repair Project Information:

Atchison County

The following are planned projects to repair the damage caused by the 2019 flooding in Atchison County:

  • Roadbed and pavement repairs:
    • Route D - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • Route U from U.S. Route 136 to Route E -Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • Route E - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • Route V - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • Route Z - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • Route U - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • Route A from Route D to Interstate 29 - scheduled to be let for contractor bidding 1/22/21
    • Route A from Route D to the end of the route - scheduled to be let for contractor bidding 1/22/21
    • Route BB from Route A to the end of the route - scheduled to be let for contractor bidding 1/22/21
    • Route TT from U.S. Route 59 to Q Avenue - scheduled to be let for contractor bidding 1/22/21
  • Pavement repairs:
    • Route B from I-29 to U.S. Route 59 - Awarded to Emery Sapp and Sons, LLC. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2021.
    • Route 111 from Route E to Corning - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • U.S. Route 36 from the Missouri River to I-29 - scheduled to be let for contractor bidding 2/19/21
  • Bridge repairs:
    • U.S. Route 136 bridge over the Missouri River at Brownsville - scheduled to be let for contractor bidding on 10/16/2020

Holt County

The following are planned projects to repair the damage caused by the 2019 flooding in Holt County:

  • Roadbed and pavement repairs:
    • Route W - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
  • Pavement repairs:
    • Route 111 from U.S. Route 159 to Route 111 and spur - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • Route 111 from Corning to Craig -Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • Route 111 from Route E to Corning - Awarded to Herzog Contracting Corp. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
    • U.S. Route 159 from Missouri River to Route P - scheduled to be let for contractor bidding 2/19/21
    • Route 111 from Craig to Route 118 - scheduled to be let for contractor bidding 2/19/21
