In June 2023, Governor Parson signed House Bill 4 providing MoDOT with additional funding to improve safety at Highway/Railroad crossings in Missouri. Missouri’s State Action Plan for Highway/Railroad crossings identified the need to improve railroad crossing advance warning signs across the state. This additional funding is allowing MoDOT to launch a program to provide local road authorities the opportunity to request funding to replace their existing warning signs with new signs meeting the latest sign standards. Please see the Funding Process below for the steps to complete a request for funding. If you need any assistance, during the application process, please reach out to the email or phone number below.
If you are a local public agency interested in applying for this funding, please review the “Program Application and Data Form” and then submit the below contact information to start your process. Once approved you will receive notification from our MoDOT Multimodal Team with a link to upload your application and any additional information needed.
