Project highlights:

MoDOT is seeking public input on 4 (four) proposed Greene County Route MM/ZZ improvement projects that are being evaluated to reduce traffic delays and increase safety at various intersections in Republic.

Project A:
  • Widening of Route MM to 5 lanes from Route 360/James River Freeway to Farm Road 160
  • Intersection improvements
  • Estimated Construction Cost: $18 million (currently unfunded)
  • City of Republic applying for RAISE Grant through OTO

Project B:
  • Widening Route MM to 5  lanes between I-44 and north of Route 360/James River Freeway
  • Estimated Construction Cost: $10.3 million
  • City of Republic applying for RAISE Grant through OTO
  • Cost share with the City of Republic
  • Construction: 2024
Project C:
  • Build new Route MM between Route 60 and Route ZZ (Wilson’s Creek Boulevard)/Route M (Republic Road)
  • Build bridge over BNSF Railroad at Farm Road 103
  • Possible roundabout on new Route MM at Route ZZ (Wilson’s Creek Boulevard)/Route M (Republic Road)
  • Estimated Construction Cost: $29.4 million (currently unfunded)
Project D:
  • Roundabout on Route MM (Brookline Avenue) at Farm Road 160
  • Build bridge over BNSF Railroad south of Haile Street
  • Build new Route MM between Farm Road 160 and Route 60
  • Remove U.S. Route 60 intersection at Commercial Avenue/Farm Road 103
  • Build intersection connecting new Route MM with Route 60 west of Route 60 intersection at Commercial Avenue/Farm Road 103
  • Close BNSF Railroad crossings at Route 60 and Farm Road 170, Route MM and Farm Road 168, and East Haile Street/Orr Street in Brookline
  • Pedestrian trail between Route MM (Brookline Avenue)/Farm Road 160 and Route 60
  • Estimated Construction Cost: $33.8 million
  • City of Republic applying for RAISE Grant through OTO
