Northwest Missouri Flooding Information, Closures and Detours

- Interstate 29 now OPEN north of St. Joseph.
- U.S. Route 65 OPEN south of Carrollton to Waverly.
- U.S. Route 159 CLOSED from Big Lake to Rulo, NE (includes Missouri River bridge) - Contractors have begun some restoration work. An estimate for complete mobility restoration is not available yet. The bridge at Fortescue will also need to be repaired prior to complete mobility restoration. The contract for that bridge repair was awarded in July 2019.
- U.S. Route 136 CLOSED from Rock Port to Brownville, NE (includes Missouri River bridge) - Water remains over the road in some places and there are several areas of roadway that have been washed away. An estimated date for mobility restoration is not available yet.
