Route ZZ Bridge Replacement over Howell Creek in Howell County

This bridge was included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. 

The Missouri Department of Transportation replaced the Route ZZ bridge over Howell Creek in Howell County. The bridge is located east of West Plains, Missouri between the BNSF railroad tracks and County Road 8240.  

The new concrete bridge is wider than the existing structure.

Construction of the Route ZZ bridge was underway in summer 2023, and the project is now completed. During construction, the roadway was closed in the vicinity of the bridge.
