St. Louis Work Zones for March 21-27

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use I-44 should be aware of some new lane restrictions that will be in place after this weekend. 

On Saturday, March 23, crews will close two lanes on westbound I-44 and shift the remaining two lanes onto the eastbound interstate. They will also close the Vandeventer ramp to westbound I-44 and the Grand ramp to westbound I-44. When the traffic shift is complete by 6 p.m. Saturday, there will be three eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes on the interstate through the end of the year.  The Vandeventer ramp to westbound I-44 will also remain closed for the remainder of the year; the Grand ramp to westbound I-44 is scheduled to reopen in three months.

Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, the ramp from Broadway to westbound I-64 in the city of  St. Louis will close around the clock  for two weeks for pavement repairs.  The ramp will be open before the Cardinals opening day on April 4.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, one westbound lane closed from Grand to Macklind through Saturday.
  • I-44, St. Louis, starting Saturday, two westbound lanes closed from Grand to Macklind through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one westbound lane closed from Macklind to Arsenal through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, two westbound lanes closed from Arsenal to Murdoch indefinitely.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one eastbound lane closed from Murdoch to the River Des Peres indefinitely.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one eastbound lane closed from Hampton to Grand through December
  • I-44, St. Louis City, the ramp from Shrewsbury to eastbound I-44 is closed indefinitely. 
  • I-44, St. Louis City, the ramp from Grand to westbound I-44 is closed through June.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, the ramp from Vandeventer to westbound I-44 is closed through December.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the ramp from Broadway to westbound will be closed for two weeks. It will reopen before opening day.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed westbound between I-270 and Bowles through late 2021.
  • I-64, St. Louis County, one lane on the ramp from Hanley to eastbound I-64 is closed through late March 2019.
  • Route ZZ, Franklin County, the bridge at Boeuf Creek is closed until mid-August.

  • Route 141, St. Louis County, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., one lane closed southbound from I-64 to I-44.
  • Route 141, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., one lane closed northbound from I-44 to I-64.
  • Route 340, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at New Ballas, Craig and Mosley.
  • I-44, Franklin County, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., narrowed lanes on the eastbound and westbound ramps to Route 185.
  • I-44, Franklin County, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound from Route 30 to Route 185.
  • Route 47, Franklin County, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed at the Washington Bridge over the Missouri.  Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.
  • Route C, Franklin County, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., various sections closed between Route 100 and Route 50.
  • Route C, Franklin County, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., one lane closed in both directions along various sections between Route 100 and Route 50.
  • Route K, Franklin County, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., one lane closed in both directions between Route 30 and Route 185.  Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.
  • Route P, Franklin County, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., one lane closed in both directions various locations from Route 110 to Route A. Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., two lanes closed westbound between Lafayette and Hampton.  By 5 p.m., two westbound lanes will be shifted to the eastbound side of I-44 through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, starting at 7 a.m., the ramp from Grand to westbound and the ramp from Vandeventer to westbound will be closed.  Grand will reopen after June and Vandeventer will reopen in December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound between Grand and I-70.

 

Sunday, March 24

  • No scheduled lane closures.

 

Monday, March 25

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound between Grand and I-70.
