St. Louis Work Zones for December 13-19

 

ST. LOUIS – Drivers heading to downtown St. Louis or into Illinois this weekend will need to use alternate routes as MoDOT will close a stretch of I-70 just north of St. Louis City.  Crews will close eastbound and westbound I-70 between Salisbury and Madison on Friday, December 14 at 8 p.m. in order to remove the pedestrian bridge over I-70 north of Madison Street.

Although the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge will remain open, drivers will have to exit at Tucker.  All interstate detours will be marked.   

Two lanes of eastbound I-70/westbound I-44 will reopen on Saturday, December 15 by noon, while all remaining interstate lanes will reopen on Monday, December 17 by 5 a.m.  The I-70 express lanes will remain closed thru mid-January.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, two lanes closed westbound from Arsenal to Shrewsbury until July 2019.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one lane closed westbound between Jefferson and Grand through 2019.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, two lanes closed westbound between Grand and Kingshighway through 2019.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one lane closed westbound between Kingshighway and Arsenal through 2019.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one lane closed eastbound from Shrewsbury to Jefferson through 2019.
  • I-70, St. Louis City, the express lanes are closed starting December 13 thru mid-January.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, the ramp from Shrewsbury to eastbound I-44 is closed indefinitely. 
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed westbound between I-270 and Bowles thru late 2021.

Thursday, December 13

  • I-64, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the eastbound ramp to 6th Street is closed.   Drivers should use the 11th Street or 14th Street exits to enter downtown.
  • I-70, St. Louis County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Jennings Station Road.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., one lane closed in various locations northbound and southbound between Page and I-55.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed northbound and southbound at Ladue, Quailways and Chaminade.
  • Route 100, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Geyer.
  • Route W, St. Charles County, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed from I-70 to Route 61. Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.
  • I-44, Franklin County, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., one lane closed westbound at Route 50.
  • I-44, Franklin County, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., one lane closed eastbound at Route 50.
  • I-44, Franklin County, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., one lane closed eastbound in various locations from the Crawford County line to Route 30.
  • I-44, Franklin County, 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., one lane closed westbound in various locations between Route 30 and the Crawford County line.
  • Route 50, Franklin County, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be various short term closure on the eastbound ramp to eastbound I-44.

 

Friday, December 14

  • I-70, St. Louis City, until noon, all lanes closed eastbound between St. Louis Avenue and the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge.
  • I-70, St. Louis City, noon until 5 a.m. Monday, one lane closed eastbound between St. Louis Avenue and the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., one lane closed in various locations northbound and southbound between Page and I-55.
  • Route W, St. Charles County, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed from I-70 to Route 61. Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.
