St. Louis Work Zones for April 2 - 8

ST. LOUISMotorists should be aware of an Interstate 44 ramp closure lasting one month starting Monday, April 6. As part of on-going construction on the I-44 bridge over Jefferson, crews will close the ramp from eastbound I-44 to Jefferson for 30 days to rebuild the ramp. The ramp will close Monday, April 6, at 9 a.m. for reconstruction, weather permitting.

Drivers can exit at Lafayette (Exit 290B) and use Truman and Chouteau to detour to Jefferson.

Also, according to law enforcement reports, distracted driving and speeding has increased due to light traffic volumes. Maintenance operations continue as regular to repair and maintain the roads.  Motorists are encouraged to pay attention, slow down and not drive distracted especially through work zones.

For more on roadway closures due to construction, additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions go to http://traveler.modot.org/map.  For real-time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com. All work is subject to change and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
