NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING
Bridge Improvements in Scott, Cape Girardeau Counties
SIKESTON-The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is planning to replace bridges on Route A in Scott County and Route EE in Cape Girardeau County.
The Route A project involves replacing the bridge over Caney Creek, located .7 miles west of Route 61 near Benton, Missouri.
The Route EE project involves replacing the bridge over Little River Drainage Ditch No. 15, located 1.8 miles east of Route 25 near Delta, Missouri.
The projects are expected to be let in April 2017. Construction could begin as early as summer 2017. As construction is underway, Route A and Route EE will be closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the bridges.
Maps, plans, and other information prepared by the Missouri Department of Transportation, or interested agency, will be available for public inspection and copying at the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Sikeston District office, 2675 N. Main Street, Sikeston, MO 63801.
Any person affected by this project may request that a public hearing be held in regard to the proposed improvements. Requests for a public hearing shall be in writing and must be submitted to the District Engineer at P.O. Box 160, Sikeston, MO 63801, by January 17, 2017.
