Project Summary
This project will make improvements to pedestrian facilities, sidewalks, and pavement along 2.5 miles of Route AC (New Halls Ferry Road) between I-270 and St. Cyr Rd. in North St. Louis County. In addition, three signalized intersections will be reconstructed at West Pershall Rd. (near Home Depot), Hudson Dr., and Chambers Rd.
What are the existing issues along Route AC?
- Non-compliant Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps and entrances
- Narrow sidewalks
- Aging pavement and signal facilities

Is MoDOT purchasing property from landowners?
MoDOT will need to purchase some property and/or obtain temporary easements in order to construct the additional sidewalks and ADA improvements. A Right of Way representative will be contacting affected landowners to begin the acquisition process.
How much will this project cost?
The cost of construction is estimated at $9 million.
